Knowledge Graph Engineer (104860) 

 

Working Model: Hybrid (2 days in office)

 

Location: Mississauga, ON

As part of BASF’s Data & AI Powerhouse within the Product Data Semantics team, you will contribute to strengthening and expanding our semantics capabilities. Your work will focus on implementing analytic solutions for Knowledge Graphs, as well as contributing to other semantics-related activities.

Formula for Success: You Will…

 

  • Apply advanced analytics and AI techniques to extract insights from Knowledge Graphs.
  • Support and provide technical guidance to cross-functional teams, including data scientists, software engineers, and domain experts, on Knowledge Graph exploitation.
  • Design, create and maintain Knowledge Graphs for different business objectives.
  • Evaluate and enhance of the team’s data governance policies, standards, and best practices for effective Knowledge Graphs management.
  • Create and maintain ontologies that will serve as the foundation for future Knowledge Graphs.

 

Ingredients for Success: What We Look for in You…

 

  • Bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in graph analytics.
  • Proven experience in Knowledge Graphs, including their development, validation, and quality assurance.
  • Proven experience in ontology development, including designing and implementing ontologies, taxonomies, and semantic models.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams, domain experts, and data scientists.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment, with a proactive and self-driven attitude.
