Data & AI Governance Automation Specialist (104848) 

 

Working Model: Hybrid (2 days in office)

Within the Group Data Office as part of BASF’s Data & AI Powerhouse, we drive BASF’s overall Data Management and contribute to the convenient, efficient, and compliant data usage within BASF. We deliver services all around Data Product creation, Data Strategy, Data & AI Governance and Projects. Supporting the streamlined and efficient execution of Data & AI Governance and embedding regulations into data products in an automated manner creates value for our internal partners.

We are seeking Data & AI Governance Automation Specialist to join our team of AI enthusiasts. In this role you will leverage cutting-edge and proven technologies to reshape the way we execute business processes and innovation. Formula for Success: You Will…

 

  • Develop and implement automated data & AI governance processes and tools ensuring efficiency, consistency, and scalability of Data & AI Governance practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams like Data Domain Owners and Data Governance units to ensure data & AI governance best practices are followed.
  • Monitor and assess data & AI governance practices to identify areas for improvement and automation areas e.g., with the help of AI.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies in data governance automation.
  • Design and implement automated data quality checks, metadata management, and data access controls.
  • Provide training and guidance to stakeholders on data governance automation tools and best practices.

 

Ingredients for Success: What We Look for in You…

 

  • Master’s degree in computer science, information systems, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in process automation (e.g., RPA), ideally for data & AI governance, data management, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of data & AI governance frameworks, principles, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in data governance automation tools and technologies.
  • Solid knowledge of data quality, metadata management, data lineage, and data access control concepts.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams in a highly dynamic environment.
