- Being responsible for all aspects of operating a stand-alone site in BASF accountable and responsible for the regulatory, fiscal, legal, environmental compliance and operational integrity of the site team and daily operations.
- Leading and directing the site team to achieve the operational plan commitment for the site, in terms of quality, speed, cost & EH&S to meet the BASF strategy.
- Developing and implementing manufacturing and asset strategies to ensure assets and spending are aligned with business strategies that ensure technology transfers are issue-free; as well as provide for reliable & flexible product availability while maximizing asset utilization.
- Developing team members to reach their full potential.
- Participating in country, regional and global initiatives and discussions, sharing and implementation of best practices, technology exchanges, supply chain initiatives and other such topics.
- Representing BASF Canada at times in communications and contact with Federal, Provincial, and Municipal District representatives.
If you have…
- A BS Degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering with 5+ years of experience in chemical/petrochemical or other similar manufacturing environment OR High School Diploma or Equivalent with 10+ years of experience in a chemical, petrochemical or other manufacturing environment.
- Experience in the critical success areas of EH&S, cost reduction, quality improvement, cycle time reduction, asset optimization, and application of current and developing technologies and manufacturing trends.
- Effective communication skills and successful track record for creating continuous improvements in culture, facilities and technology.
