We are currently recruiting:Â Volunteer Board of Directors & Committee Members 2025-2026
CHATS-Community & Home Assistance to Seniors is a leading charitable organization that provides in-home support and multicultural community programs to enable older adults to live their best at home and in their communities. CHATS advocates for and delivers high-quality, person-centred home and community services, providing dignity and choice for ageing at home. We are proud to deliver services to more than 8,500 seniors and family caregivers throughout York Region and South Simcoe.
As a Board or Committee Member, you will provide strategic guidance, oversight, and governance for CHATS. Your unique insights and expertise will help shape our programs, policies, and outreach efforts, ensuring we’re meeting the needs of seniors and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Actively participate in Board and committee meetings
- Contribute to strategic planning and organizational development
- Offer your expertise to support effective decision-making
- Advocate for seniors’ needs in our community
- Support CHATS’ mission, vision, and values in all activities
We welcome passionate individuals from diverse backgrounds and reflective of our community’s cultural and gender diversity in the York Region and South Simcoe, including Indigenous and other underrepresented communities. Volunteer Board, governance, finance and audit, or quality experience are assets. Successful candidates will also support and be involved with CHATS’ fundraising activities, with an ability to open doors within communities served by CHATS.
