The UBC School of Kinesiology is seeking a Development Officer to help us realize our vision to be a world-leading hub of integrated research across disciplines converging on the study of movement, physical activity, sports and health, and offer a world-class environment and exceptional learning opportunities for training the next generation of leaders in Kinesiology.

As a Development Officer with UBC School of Kinesiology you will be responsible for:

  • Developing relationships with key faculty members to implement donor and prospect strategies to support leading-edge research and initiatives.
  • Building and sustaining long-term donor relationships while aligning donor passion with the goals of the School of Kinesiology.
  • Managing the identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of prospects and donors by developing relationships or facilitating relationships with those who have the capacity to make major gifts ($50k+).
  • Writing and editing donor communications, including proposals and stewardship reports – often in collaboration with other team members.

Note: this position is posted as a 12-month term position.  There is the possibility it will be extended or made into a permanent position at term end.

 

Compensation Range

$7,283.75 – $10,474.08 CAD Monthly

The Compensation Range is the span between the minimum and maximum base salary for a position. The midpoint of the range is approximately halfway between the minimum and the maximum and represents an employee that possesses full job knowledge, qualifications and experience for the position. In the normal course, employees will be hired, transferred or promoted between the minimum and midpoint of the salary range for a job.
