Job summary

The position is responsible for providing direct support to technology users across the organization and for implementing, configuring, and maintaining the cyber security of OMA’s devices, apps, and user accounts.

How you will make a difference

  • Protecting enterprise information as required by the business.
  • Establishing and maintaining information security roles and access privileges and performing security monitoring to minimize the business impact of operational information security vulnerabilities and incidents.
  • Managing organizational databases to ensure that users and applications have access to the right data at the right time for the right reasons.
  • Serving as the primary administrator for endpoint and mobile device management solution, responsible for managing and maintaining configurations.
  • Maintaining situational awareness of cyber threats (current and evolving), trends, and technologies across the organization and driving the appropriate or commensurate response activities, where necessary.
  • Reviewing security events, searches for targeted attacks, and zero-day exploits, understanding and connecting threats to the risks of the organization to provide appropriate capabilities and action plans.
  • Assisting and participating in the management of the Incident Management processes to ensure timely resolution of incidents.
  • Administering Endpoint Vulnerability Management process to:
  • Develop and maintain device and app vulnerability management and security posture.
  • Ensure quality and timeliness of all vulnerability management notification processes.
  • Feed key metrics and KPIs on proactive security into security dashboard(s).
  • Responding to requests and queries from users, ensuring requests are understood, determining root causes of issues, addressing concerns, and managing systems/data permissions to ensure users have proper access to approved resources.
  • Monitoring system health and troubleshoots endpoint system issues.
  • Participating in technology projects, providing input, managing project tasks and delivery timelines.

Requirements that are important to us

  • Diploma/Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent.
  • Two to three years relevant experience
  • Possesses knowledge of security domains, and practical experience with modern technologies is essential in making implementation and configuration decisions.
  • Microsoft 365: Endpoint Administrator Associate; Azure Security Engineer Associate; Security Operations Analyst Associate; Identity and Access Administrator Associate; Security, Compliance, and Identity certification is an asset
  • OffSec Certified Professional (OSCP) is an asset
  • Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) is an asset
  • Experience with Wireshark, Power Automate, PowerShell, Azure CLI is as asset

The OMA has moved to a permanent hybrid work environment. As such, the individual in this position will be required to work a minimum number of days in our Toronto office.
