What the role is all about:
Reporting to the Manager, Sport Development, you will assume a vital role promoting and selling WinSport Athlete Development & Sport training services and products to new and existing customers within the City of Calgary. You will play a critical role in generating new revenue for WinSport and our emerging Sport business units.
Provide full understanding of sport training within the City, including specific sports seasonality and specific training needs.
Demonstrate full understanding of all WinSport, Performance Training Centre products and services to drive a competitive advantage and generate revenue growth
Preparing sales information, making sales calls to up sell and increase sales revenue for WinSport products and services
Generate sales lead, book meeting and provide appropriate follow up in solidifying new contracts.
Providing appropriate information on products and services to fulfil customer needs including attending sport, club and association meetings.
Demonstrating a genuine passion for Sport and training making our potential customers experience impactful.
Using people skills to build lasting relationships with current clients and successfully market to new clients
Assisting in showcasing facilities and all related activity areas to qualified customers
Minimum two years of experience in sales
Strong understanding of Sport and Sport training.
Results-oriented with the tenacity and work ethic to creatively plan and successfully execute sales strategies
Strong customer service focus
High level of energy with strong communication, interpersonal, relationship-building and negotiating skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Proven organizational, time-management and multi-tasking skills
Must be proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.)
Off and on-site work environment including travel to and from meetings within city and province.
Flexible work times based on business needs and sales opportunities.
