The Rogers Media Calgary Promotions Department is looking for a dynamic Promotions Coordinator to join our fun, dedicated and hardworking team. Our department is responsible for the creation, execution and follow up of station and sales promotions for all radio brands; 96.9 JACK, KiSS 95.9, Sportsnet 960, 660 News and Mountain FM while supporting the City and Breakfast Television brands.
Reporting to the Promotions Director, the successful candidate will hit the ground running and exceed expectations within our multi-format team.
Coordinate and execute all elements of station and sales promotions including website listings, announcer communication and liners, e-newsletters, and selection and contacting of winners.
Coordinate and execute station events and on-site promotions, including set up of signage and equipment while maximizing station presence and proactively engage listeners, clients and general public
Set-up and manage remote broadcasts with all required components (technical, broadcast equipment, vehicle, signage, prizing, staffing).
Create and post accurate, engaging and attractive content on station websites
Manage station loyalty club content and database
Manage prize inventory, maintain promotional signage, equipment, station vehicles and storage areas
Social Media posting and monitoring
Basic graphic design
Attend regular team and brainstorming meetings
Reception relief duties as required
Other tasks as assigned by Promotions Director
Diploma in Radio Broadcasting and/or experience working at a radio station an asset
Self-motivated, team player with a positive attitude and a strong desire and passion to succeed
Ability to work well under minimal supervision and under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Must be able to have fun and have a great sense of humour
Independent problem-solving and decision-making skills
Excellent organization and multi-tasking skills
Must be able to work flexible hours including weekends, evenings and holidays - occasionally on short notice
Proficiency with the Windows operating system and Microsoft Office. Photoshop skills a definite asset.
Ability to learn and execute basic technical tasks
Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
Must hold a valid Alberta full Class 5 drivers licence and provide a printed drivers abstract
